@DavidHuber-NOAA I thought gsi-addon was only for intel compilers. Is this something new? If not, can you please point me to already used environment on Hera, I did install it on Orion (but wasn't aware that anyone use gsi-addon with GNU compiler).

Installed [email protected]/[email protected] with gsi-addon on new Hera disk (/scratch4/NCEPDEV/stmp/role.epic/spack-stack/spack-stack-1.6.0/envs/).
