There is some precedent for typeballs based on modern digital typefaces being 3D printed with resin. It would be nice for this repo to include official CAD files for a few variations of Plex Mono. Of course, even better would be for IBM to make a limited edition of Plex typeballs available in original spec materials, but that seems out of scope for this particular repository.
