For this task, a thorough documentation of the code in the specified format will be required by the JSDoc. As a beginner in contributing to the library, it will be a good learning experience for you to get introduced to the code structure and the code itself.

I suggest you can go ahead with beginning your contributions in this way. In the meantime you can also find some better tasks to contribute to the code in a more direct way.
