huawei_location: D8: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "String.length()" because "<parameter1>" is null

When I import huawei_location 6.14.2+300 and try to build I get the following error:

I have tried the solution mention in this issue (#401) but the error still happens when I try to build. If I remove huawei_location from my import, then I'm able to build the app.

Does anyone know what's the issue with this? I'm able to build with other Huawei import (huawei_push and huawei_map).
