Implement Equipment #32

The player should be able to equip some items.
Full list of equipment slots for clothes/armor:

  • Head (hat, helmet)
  • Body (clothes, armor)
  • Back (backpack, quiver, tools/weapons)
  • Arms (gloves)
  • Legs (pants)
  • Boots

Equipment provide different bonuses. Examples:

  • Armor provide extra protection for the specific body part.
  • Backpack adds lots of carry space and X1.5 modifier for carry weight.
  • Straw Hat increases heat tolerance (allows to stay in hot places for longer without any problems).
  • Hiking Boots increase movement speed between locations.

The player can also have 2 items in his hands (left and right). These items can be of any type (player can carry some stuff in his hands to keep inventory from overloading). Some items provide bonuses when carried in hands. Examples:

  • Spear provide extra damage in fight and allow spear-fishing.
  • Axe provide extra damage in fight and allow woodcutting.
  • Torch provide extra damage in fight and improve search results in darkness.
  • Shield provide extra protection in fight.
  • Basket/backpack/bag provide extra carry space for the inventory.
  • Bow provide ranged attack in fight (if have arrows).

Equipment weight still counts towards total carry weight of player. However it doesn't affect carry space.
