Docker Autobuild removal starting April 2027

The Autobuild feature we are using in DockerHub is deprecated. We need to move out from that

We should consider using Github directly and move out from Docker Hub also because the account is tied to IntelOwl

I suggest we set up publishing on GitHub container registry soon and just phase out publishing on DockerHub. So we have kind of a transition phase until next April.

Hi! I'd like to work on this. My current assigned issue already has a PR open, and I've addressed the requested changes and re-requested review (#1411). I can take this one next if that works.

Hey @cclts ! Sorry, but I think this has to be done by an org admin / maintainer as only they have the necessary permissions.

GHCR seems to work. But we'll have to take a look after the next release, if version tagging also works as expected.

For now, images are also published on dockerhub. Before next April, we should turn that off there and delete docker/hooks/.

On release 3.6.0, the tag-based image was not created automatically. I investigated the problem and will port the workflow we use in tpot-payload-server. It's a lot leaner than the one from Certego and has already proven to work.

@mlodic #1536 seems to fix the tag-based image issue. Image publishing now works as expected. You can find the images here.
