Description
I installed the gke-mcp extension to gemini on a "clean" laptop. When running Gemini CLI, I saw a message that the gke-mcp server status is Disconnected. I had to make perhaps obvious perhaps not troubleshooting steps to understand what happens - I found the extension config inside ~/.gemini/ folder and saw a command on how to run the gke-mcp server - tried it myself and saw a message that gcloud is not installed (and later not logged in).
Probably it's a point for Gemini CLI itself.
What's expected
For instance, when running Gemini CLI, I see a reason why the gke-mcp server status is Disconnected.
Probably there is possibility to highlight issues during installation of the extension.
