[Request]: Conversations view more like email

Describe the request

I'd like to see the conversations view less like any regular stream (although I understand this is how e.g. the web UI shows it), and more like a modern email client displays notifications.

1. Panel to show conversations like e.g. an Inbox view.
2. Larger panel to show the conversations within it, with

• old messages collapsed into a title bar
• new or explicitly expanded messages with text/media, and interaction buttons
• maybe indent replies a little

Note that the second might make for a general enhancement of a thread view.

In lieu of a mockup, I've attached a screenshot of proton mail from their website. As a rough guide, it works, though I'm sure it'd look very different once all the details are worked out. As a bonus it also shows a side panel much like there exists now.

Also, the mobile view is to "stack" the conversation view on top of the inbox view, so that could be the approach for small screens/mobile here as well.
