First, thanks for this awesome plugin, it is exactly what i've been looking for. I implemented the simple example but when i used the popover i got weird characters showing up for the close button and for the top caret.
Do you know of a reason this would be happening? I checked, and it happens in chrome, safari and firefox

Hmm, I'm not able to replicate it in browserstack. Could you send me a jsfiddle? It seems like a font/charset issue where it doesn't have the symbol for that x. Are you using the default font stack or something custom?
Make sure you are setting the <meta charset="utf-8"> in your header. Are you seeing this problem on the example page too or just on your implementation?
