Hello,
I was porting the pokemon mystery dungeon sprites to Fashion Sense Stardew Valley body format, ending in a naive approach which can be optimized with over 3000 bodies with an average of 2048x2048 px. When I tried to load this into Stardew Valley after 15 min the game crashed, I think the reason is because it trying to load all the textures into video memory in RGBA, whith with 2048x2048 textures reached the limit on my computer VRAM (dedicated gpu with 6gb vram and 32gb of system ram).
So my question is there is any technical reason of why it's loading all of the assets at start?, Should be better to load the assets when selected in the menu, when a save is selected or player is connected and for searching create a cache or something with the portrait assets?
With that change Fashion Sense can support infinite number of skins.
