"Error displaying widget" when trying to run do_shapefile_polygon

I installed the latest "main" branch of tripyview with with Python3.9. When I try to run the "do_shapefile_polygon" notebook, I get the following error: Error displaying widget

I just followed the install guide and stalled these packages conda install -c conda-forge libstdcxx-ng Do I need some more extra packages? I also tried with Python3.12 with the same error

try to make a new pull, i fixed that issue already for hanna, the trick was to use %matplotlib widget and to change the button event [s] --> [w] since [s] was already occupied as a widget shortcut. It was a problem with jupyterlab that can not deal with %matplotlib notebook

@ackerlar : Benutzt du "jupyterlab" oder "jupyter notebook" als oberfläche ?

@ackerlar : Hat deine conda environment ipywidget installiert: pip list | grep widget? und auf welchem HPC bist du?

Hi @patrickscholz , ich benutze das jupyterhub vom DKRZ und ipywidget ist installier:

(py39_shape) [a270124@levante0 ~]$ pip list | grep widget
ipydatawidgets            4.3.5
ipywidgets                7.8.5
jupyterlab_widgets        1.1.11
widgetsnbextension        3.6.10

Aber bei Hanna scheint es zu funktionieren, deswegen ist es jetzt erstmal okay so für mich. Vielen Dank!

... benutzt du auf levante dein eigenes miniconda oder benutzt du das conda das mit der python3 levante modul Umgebung mitkommt (module load python3)?

Ich benutze das default python3 der Levante Umgebung. Und habe dann über

python -m ipykernel install --user --name py39_shape --display-name="py39_shape"

den Kernel für jupyterhub erzeugt, den ich dann dort lade

Hm, vielleicht können wir nächste Woche einmal zusammen drüber schauen? Im Moment ist es aber okay für mich
