Is it possible to use the plug-in to generate an image from symbol JSON for use outside of map

Using the plug-in in conjunction with esri-leaflet to display map data retrieved from ArcGIS Online to create feature layers. We've implemented a tool that allows the user to click on the overlays on the map and then we're calling the query endpoint to pull back attributes of the features. We'd like to display the symbol for the feature outside of the map. Is it possible to generate the images from the symbol JSON using this plug-in to do this?
