Ask players if they want to cancel their game to speed up the restart #83

When the /restart command is issued, players in running games are asked if they would be okay with cancelling the current game to speed up the bot update. If all active players in all running games agree, all running games are cancelled and the bot is restarted.

so the bot would ask all players privately?

I think a private message has a few benefits over a public one.

  • You can continue discussions in the much more active main chat without pushing the restart message out of view.
  • You could ask players who haven’t responded (or haven’t responded in favor) again if, for instance, a second /restart is issued in the dev channel, or if a certain threshold of other players/games opted into the restart or other games have finished (something like “Pretty much everyone else is waiting only for you. Are you sure you want this?”)
