I'm on FreeBSD. In the past I just used gmake lib to compile manually without any issues.
I use fcitx5-rime and zh-librime in FreeBSD through Fcitx5 and rime works flawlessly in terminal, browser, and all the other apps.
Don't know why this time around my emacs is unable to render chinese characters in emacs properly.
Sorry, turns out it was the font that was the issue. I just tried the new Sarasa Gothic Nerd Font TTC that was updated 2 days ago and now emacs is displaying the font properly.
Didn't think it would be the font initially because outside of emacs, the font was working properly in the terminal through fcitx5-rime.
emacs: 29.3,3
librime: 1.11.2
