I tried running codebase-memory-mcp cli index_repository '{"repo_path": "/path/to/repo"}' but kept getting the error "repo_path is required"! It seems like it isn't Windows-friendly, and I'm not sure about Mac.

I ended up using the codebase-memory-mcp config set auto_index true setting instead. For some reason, it indexed the 'antigravity' folder and created a huge index! When I tried to delete the project, it crashed lol.

Another issue I'm having is that the UI only lets you select projects inside the C: drive! What if my project is on another drive? :)

I also tried to use codebase-memory-mcp cli index_repository + any arguments you can imagine (json, not json, using forward slash, backslash...) to make it work, and I got the same repo_path is required

Thanks for the extra Windows reports. I’ve triaged this as Windows indexing / UI evidence. There are a few overlapping bugs in this thread:

• the CLI / PowerShell repo_path is required path is tracked with Windows: cli index_repository fails with "repo_path is required" #680
• drive-letter UI selection is related to the existing Windows path/UI tracker (task: Windows platform issues (8 bugs) #394, and the earlier D-drive picker report)
• the delete-project crash needs its own focused repro if you can capture the exact command/UI action and any stderr/log output

Please keep adding exact command lines, shell type, and raw output here for the indexing case; that helps separate argument parsing from path normalization.

I had the same issue and it turned out that i had to put in the absolute path to the directory!

repo_path	Result
~/git/repo_1	Did not work for me!
/Users/my_user/git/repo_1	It started indexing the repo!

FYI @DeusData : I don't know if this is related to the issue, but this worked for me!

Thanks for the report! To move this forward we need a bit more so we can reproduce it ourselves:

• the codebase-memory-mcp --version you're on
• the exact steps or command you ran
• a public repo (or a small dummy snippet) that shows the problem — please don't paste proprietary code

Once that's here we'll pick it straight back up. Heads-up: issues left awaiting-reporter are automatically closed after a few weeks of silence, but a comment reopens the door anytime.
