Hi Pip,
I used Formlabs rigid resin 4000. I reduced the soldering temperature from
300 to 210, changed a soldering tip, changed the heat insert that was 1mm
too big, and it worked!
Here is what I have now with a dummy neuropixel 2 installed. Does it look
right to you? The flex cable seems a bit long…

Hello!
I was tyring to heat-insert the M1 brass knurled inserts into the 3D printed payload holder but I couldn't find an adapter to connect the soldering iron with the insert...There are many heat-insert kits online for M2 or larger but not for M1... Would you mind sharing the equipment you use? Or are there some other tricks to heat-insert M1 thread? Thank you again!
