Walkthrough

The changes introduce enhancements to the timing diagram component, including updates to value bindings and the addition of computed properties for utilization metrics. The plotArea module is restructured with a new interface for better type safety, while a new Pinia store manages the visibility of utilization. Additionally, the logic for setting up listeners has been simplified, impacting how timing events are handled. Overall, these modifications improve the functionality and maintainability of the system.

Changes

Files Change Summary
src/components/Panels/TimingDiagramPanel/TimingDiagramPanel.vue Updated value binding to use reactive state management, added computed properties for utilization, and enhanced the template for better UI feedback. Mouse event listeners were added for improved interaction handling.
src/simulator/src/listeners.js Removed the conditional call to setupTimingListeners(), simplifying the logic for initializing timing listeners, which may affect how the simulator responds to timing events.
src/simulator/src/plotArea.ts Introduced a new PlotArea interface, updated the existing plot area object for type safety, refined function signatures, and improved null handling in methods. Mouse event listener setup was also refactored for better organization.
src/store/timingDiagramStore.ts Introduced a new Pinia store to manage the reactive state of showUtilization, facilitating dynamic display of utilization information.

Line range hint 116-120: Use Vue event types instead of React event types.

The handleUnitsChange function signature has been updated to accept React event types (React.ChangeEvent<HTMLInputElement> and React.ClipboardEvent<HTMLInputElement>) instead of Vue event types. This is inconsistent with the rest of the codebase, which uses Vue.

Update the function signature to use Vue event types instead:

-function handleUnitsChange(event: React.ChangeEvent<HTMLInputElement> | React.ClipboardEvent<HTMLInputElement>) {
+function handleUnitsChange(event: Event) {

29-29: LGTM!

The code change is approved. The value binding has been correctly updated to use the reactive plotArea object.

35-41: LGTM!

The code changes are approved. The new <span> element correctly displays the utilization metrics based on the timingDiagramStore.showUtilization flag and uses the utilizationComputed and recommendedUnitComputed computed properties.

44-51: LGTM!

The code changes are approved. The mouse event listeners have been correctly added to the <canvas> element when not in embedded mode using the setupTimingListeners object.

59-59: LGTM!

The code change is approved. The import statement has been correctly updated to include computed, reactive, and watch from Vue, indicating a shift towards a more reactive programming model.

65-66: LGTM!

The code changes are approved. The new import statements for useTimingDiagramStore and setupTimingListeners are correctly used in the component.

77-82: LGTM!

The code changes are approved. plotArea is correctly defined as a reactive object, and the new computed properties utilizationComputed and recommendedUnitComputed have been added as per the AI-generated summary.

110-112: LGTM!

The code changes are approved. The handleButtonClick function has been correctly updated to simplify the logic for handling button clicks by using an array of allowed values and calling the corresponding function on the plotArea object.

src/simulator/src/plotArea.ts (8)

7-43: LGTM!

The new PlotArea interface improves the type safety and clarity of the plotArea object by defining its structure, including properties and methods.

90-90: LGTM!

The type annotation const plotArea: PlotArea ensures that the plotArea object adheres to the structure defined by the PlotArea interface, improving type safety.

148-152: LGTM!

The changes in the download method ensure that operations on this.canvas only occur if it is defined, preventing runtime errors.

163-166: LGTM!

The changes in the resize method ensure that operations on this.canvas only occur if it is defined, preventing runtime errors.

The static analysis hint suggesting an optional chain can be ignored as the current approach is valid.

215-215: LGTM!

Setting useTimingDiagramStore().showUtilization = true enables showing the utilization in the timing diagram.

488-516: LGTM!

Refactoring the event listener setup for mouse interactions into the setupTimingListeners object enhances the organization of the code and makes it easier to manage mouse events related to the plot area.

304-304: The static analysis hint suggesting not to redeclare the variable i can be ignored as it is a false positive. Redeclaring i in the inner scope is not an issue since it is already defined in the outer scope.
