Workflow Summary

  1. Mandatory Reviews for Quality Checks

    • Records require a review process before their first publication.
    • Reviewers check and greenlight the records but leave the final "publish" decision to the user.
  2. User Approval for Publication

    • After the review, the user gets notified and must "accept" the request.
    • This action unlocks the publish button for the user.
  3. Email/Notification-Based Workflow

    • Notifications are sent asynchronously to inform users of updates.
    • The user's browser refreshes the deposit page upon receiving these updates, enabling necessary permissions for further actions.
  4. Review Assignment Indicator

    • The "start review" action serves dual purposes:
      • Notifying the user that the record is under review.
      • Acting as an implicit assignment marker for the reviewer.
  5. Heavy Reliance on Notifications

    • The system assumes asynchronous communication to update permissions and workflows dynamically.
