It is not clear that this function skernel is ever called in the joint model. Not sure why that would be the case. Looking at the code it looks like there is a change in what parameters are plugged it. This fairly redundant code could be a statement on the data structure for the Common_parms which appears to have parameters from trigger and response hormones mixed. I cannot tell at this moment.
