And yes, I've tested other color schemes. The buttons or dropdowns need to be more distinguished.
Enabling the "Draw widget shadow" under "Shadow" tab helps, but still is not as differentiating.

2d19e46 should make the buttons a bit more visible if you use the color scheme I included, but the issue is much bigger than that.

The color schemes work very differently across themes, and that's an issue that is impossible to fix.

At the moment I'm trying to make something that makes adjusting the color scheme to darkly a bit easier, but I don't even know where to begin.

The widget shadows need a bit of fixing at the moment, it's broken on 9px corner radius and above

This is how buttons and dropdowns looks like with my colorscheme, notice the border like thing on the top, drawing a border on the whole thing would help with visibility, and in my opinion look better.

We already have blur, I'm making a something that lets you edit the colors with a preview. At the moment, editing/creating a color scheme is horrible, but once I add a couple more common elements and clean the code up a bit, creating a color scheme might become a bit less bad.

Also if I wasn't clear, I didn't mean for the button to have the same color as the background, what i meant was just having the border on the whole button/dropdown.
