Welcome, Keeper! This repository is a place for volunteers to contribute community translations for Morimens. Thank you so much for your generous help.
You can contribute new translations or proofread edits to existing machine translations by creating an Issue.
Before making a Pull Request, please make sure your GitHub name is the same as the name you entered in your Volunteer Application Form.

Before getting started, please first communicate your intent in the Morimens Volunteer Translation discord with fellow volunteers who work on the same language, or open an issue on Github.

Contribute in small chunks rather than in one big update, this way it's easier to collaborate and merge the efforts from different people.

When you submit files, please make sure to format them as csv files in UTF-8 coding.

It is recommended to check out the existing Term Base and Style Guide first.
You can find the source files here.
The recommended way of translating/editing is to make a copy of the source sheet, modify the "Translation" column (please don't modify any other columns), then download.
Please note that you may not find the entirety of the source text files here, as we cannot leak future content.
If you want to work on a certain part of content, but cannot find the corresponding source file: Please open an Issue on GitHub, or post in our Discord's #question-and-feedback channel.

*Currently, only the English language has a human translated Term Base.
We have included the machine translated Term Base for the other languages for reference.
To add a new term entry, simply create a new row on top. You can choose to provide your name in the CONTRIBUTOR column.
To edit an existing term translation, please enter your new translation in the "NEW TRANSLATION" column. You can choose to provide your name in the CONTRIBUTOR column.
We recommend confirming with other volunteers working on the same language before changing term translations!
About the Style Guide:
Morimens uses a series of specialized rich text tags.
Currently, the Style Guide mainly introduces

how to use said rich text tags

general punctuation and spelling rules
-
other general styling, tenses, tone of voice rules
The Style Guide is still a Work in Progress.
Contributors can also create individual Style Guides for each language by adding new sheets to the Main Style Guide file.
