Quick summary

The Single Posts template contains a sample bio of the post author, but since it's constructed using regular blocks, anyone who activates Hevor will suddenly find their blog posts are written by a "Joan Smith".

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start at any WordPress.com site that can use our Premium themes. For example, the Hevor demo hevordemo.wordpress.com
  2. Make sure the theme is activated, head to a single blog post to read the author bio.
  3. Head into the Site Editor to edit the Single Posts template.
  4. Review the author bio; it's using regular blocks

What you expected to happen

The theme wouldn't display a "hard-coded" author bio.

What actually happened

The theme does display a "hard-coded" author bio.

Available workarounds?

None

Workaround details

A user can just edit the template to switch out the author bio, but ideally the theme could use the Author Biography block so it doesn't surprise users who activate this theme, and force them to make that change in the first place?

📌 SCREENSHOTS

Indeed, it is a bit strange to see my profile picture next to a random name and a random description:

Ideally, this should use the author biography block.

📌 ACTIONS

Set priority low, as this can easily be worked around.
