Mofidy the allsky_weatherunderground to install in Ubuntu

I tried, used the chatgpt but I failed :-)

Can anyone give any hint what to modify and install the allsky_weatherunderground only in my Ubuntu setup ?

Ok after commenting some gpio requested values, I've managed to successfully install both openweather map and weather underground modules.

But after input the APIs, I still get a FALSE on debug about the WU module. Is this module still active?

Whilst we don't officially support Ubuntu I am happy to try and get this working for you.

Few things

1. You cannot run the modules directly as they expect to be run from within the flow manager.
2. Following your changes if you set the debug level t 4 what in /var/log/allskyperiodic.log?

I've commented the from gpiozero import Device in module-installer.py file and the installation process starts correctly. As far as I can understand, the problem is the script is looking for gpio and RPI version. After the installation I got this back.

And this here:

I found the log file but it is empty.

PS. There is another file /var/log/allsky.log that is also empty. Is this valid? Maybe another incompatibility with the OS?

Has the data been written to the extra data folder, ~/allsky/config/overlay/extra ?

It appears to have installed as you have the module

The is only the openweather.json in that folder. Openweather values are visible in the overlay editor.
