I had a similar issues and resolved this by resetting all chrome://flags.

Was a bit tricky to find the right button, as no fonts where visible, but you can guestimate where the "Reset all" and the "Relaunch" button are, hit those and restart the Browser.

That might resolve the issue for you too.

Edit:
It was the "Enable Raw Draw" flag that was causing the issue for me.
