I think you can just take the portable builds that are already released and used appimagetool on them. I did something similar for deadbeef, the developer releases a portable build but no appimage. So turning the portable build into an appimage is very simple.

Notice that I'm using a different appimagetool that uses a static runtime and makes the appimage compatible on systems that don't have fuse2.
