Is there a formalism to write units in the documentation ? For example for exponents (squared, cubed, ...), dates, initials or whole word, etc.

I have started working on it

The symbole * is used for the product of two units.
The symbole / is used for the division of two units.
The symbole ** is used for the exponential of two units.
