Does LBLRTM radiation support calculations of atmospheric radiation and absorption over 100 km? #97

Description

@StarsTravel

I'm calculating atmospheric radiation and absorption above 100 km, and even when I provide profiles (temperature, pressure, and trace gas volume mixing ratios), LBLRTM still seems unable to accurately calculate radiation and absorption above 100 km. It seems the limitation comes from LBLRTM itself. So does LBLRTM support atmospheric radiation calculations above 100 km, or do I need to recompile LBLRTM?

Further evidence shows
The test results support this diagnosis: the current failure isn't because your atmospheric profile didn't go beyond 100 km, but because LBLRTM's FSCGEO geometry processing effectively limits the top of the atmosphere for limb paths to 100 km.
