Of course Eclair mobile supports paying BTC on-chain. However some new (Chinese) users (who probably have some difficulty reading English) are confused on this. They thought that Eclair cannot send ordinary on-chain transaction. This is probably due to the fact that the "Paste/Scan a payment request" menu entry doesn't noticeably express that it can actually accept an on-chain Bitcoin address.

Maybe the "Scan a payment request" menu entry should be renamed to "Scan a QR code" with a logo of QR code (instead of the current design of camera focusing frame), while the "Paste a payment request" menu entry should be splitted into two entries of "Paste a Bitcoin address" and "Paste a Lightning invoice", with noticable logos of ₿ and 🗲 (sorry but I think U+9735 ☇ is not very understandable). The "Paste a Bitcoin address" and "Paste a Lightning invoice" would actually do exactly the same thing (maybe with a toast message reminding the user when a mismatched type of string was provided).

With these three menu entries, that either of them has an understandable logo, I think this problem should be relieved.

Anyway, I agree that it's a minor issue. But I still think it can be improved.
