Let me know if any additional information is required.
This is actually the second time this has happed, but unsure of conditions that cause this.

Run Script buttons of Python Script Deck will stop "initializing" or working correctly.

Buttons were previously working for days/weeks before this occurrence.

Streamdeck has not updated as far as I am aware. (Current: 6.5.1 (19929) at time of issue)
(I have since updated Streamdeck to 6.8.1 to see if the problem is resolved; it is not.)

Restore from backup does not restore buttons.
Plugin still seems to be installed. based on the side-bar.

I can create new Python Run Script buttons while the existing buttons are in this state

this is an interesting case - this should not happen, myabe there is an issue with the update mechanism in the back end.
you should be on Version 0.3.0.3 by now ? (right click on the action in the side bar)?

https://github.com/9h03n1x/pythonscriptdeck/releases
I uploaded the next releases here - can you please let me know if the same happens with on of these releases? preferable the 0.5.0.0 release.

if yes, please share a log file from %AppData%/Elgato/StreamDeck/Plugin/com.nicoohagedorn.pythonscriptdeck.sdPlugin/logs

I am very sorry; feel free to close this issue if no one else is reporting a similar issue.

I believe my log folder was removed (if I had one at all in the directory that was specified) when I uninstalled the plugin.
I had decided to simply open the py files directly, which seemed to serve my purposes well enough.

Also, this issue happened twice over a rather long period, so I am not confident that I could reproduce it on demand and it would be hard to tell on a new version if the issue was resolved or if the occurrence was just rare.

Thank you so much for responding in any case!
