The diff is not shown when requested

Hi,

For some reason (on Arch Linux, package from AUR) most of the time, when I type V to (V)iew diff, the diff is not actually shown. I haven't changed the default diff viewer, and it seems it is less. Instead of the diff file, it as if less has been fed with an empty file. There will be (END) only on the screen.

I can run the resolve tool without issues (and choose one I like), and it can view, save and resolve the configuration changes that way.

Any idea as to what could be causing the issue?

(Back from a half-year hiatus of writing code... Hope I can stick with it a little longer this time)

Unfortunately, I haven't encountered this issue myself. And the current debug mechanism is just running p3wm with environmental variable P3WM_DEBUG=1 which prints a lot of noise. Totally not helpful.

Maybe in the far future I would rewrite the whole script with better debugging mechanism. Maybe...

(Back from another long hiatus)

p3wm only looks for packages from pacman's cache (pacman-conf CacheDir). It is possible when a user installs package from AUR, the package built is located in PKGDEST from makepkg.conf(5)

An easy workaround is just add PKGDEST to pacman's CacheDir. But it might be a good idea to support PKGDEST directly in the future.
