Cannot trigger overtrack even though all treasures are obtained.

I have been trying to trigger the overtrack in the 月輪の紋様 section, and I already have 3 of the treasures. However, even though I play and clear any song under the variant gate folder during my extrack, it will not trigger. I believe it is some sort of glitch, and I thought that maybe if I remove one of the already collected treasures from my profile, I can clear the song to try and trigger it again. How can I do this?

weird. i can play overtrack just fine.

how is your setup here? i'm thinking you have over track difficulty set higher than the treasure type/difficulty you obtained.

These are my current preferences. I set the overtrack rank to the lowest for the sake of speeding up completion. Also, I have beat all 3 tracks on the maximum difficulty.

that's weird. just to test, what would happen if you set OVER TRACK difficulty to novice and try to trigger it again?

edit: i set mine to Maximum and could still play over track. i can't duplicate the issue for some reason.

I was thinking maybe I should try reinstalling the game or you can try looking at my save. Also, earlier I tried deleting the treasure and getting it back, but nothing happened. I don't know if it has something to do with me completing the song on novice difficulty.

the over track difficulty is the minimum difficulty over track will only appear in, so if it's set to maximum, you need to clear the 3 songs on maximum as well.

if you have over track difficulty set to advanced/exhaust/maximum but only play novice for the 3 songs, over track would not appear. unless you set it to novice, then it should let you play overtrack up to which minimum difficulty you cleared the other 3 songs in.

if you died in over track, you have to clear the songs on that difficulty again. i kinda hate variant gate.

What's weird is that overtrack just doesn't popup (no red looking outlines and eerie sfx) even when I cleared all songs on mxm. Let me try setting the minimum difficulty to novice and see if it pops.

Ngl, I also think variant gate is tedious.

Edit: I finally got it to trigger, but I had to set the overtrack difficulty to novice, which I think is weird esp considering that I beat all songs on MXM, and I should be able to leave these settings alone. Also, by default, wouldn't actual SDVX cabs lock the overtrack minimum difficulty to the difficulty you cleared the other 3 songs in?
I also set the minimum guage rank to rank I in asyphxia, but it's locked when I play.

yes and no, the overtrack minimum difficulty is the lowest difficulty you can play over track in BUT the game also checks which difficulty you got the treasures in.

for example, you have it set to MXM, if you play all 3 songs and got the treasures in EXH, over track will not trigger; you have to clear all them in MXM, everytime. need to reattempt over track? clear them all in MXM again.

another example: you have it set to EXH, and you cleared the 3 songs in MXM, then you could play over track in MXM down to EXH. clear them in EXH then you can only play EXH, not MXM.

i might need to do more tests with variant gate because you should be able to play MXM over track when over track difficulty is set to MXM, and if you obtained the treasures in MXM as well (reattempting requires MXM clear as i've mentioned)

variant rank is bound to the specific song(+difficulty?). it starts at rank v and it gets lower the more times you fail. the minimum rank setting in the UI is how low the rank can go. if you set it to rank III, over track will not get lower than rank III no matter how many times you fail at III. if you failed at II and rank I didn't unlock then i need to test this as well.

Oh, I see. This is to replicate the event when variant gate was released.

I can try to test it again since I was able to get my game to finally trigger overtrack earlier. I don't know why I was not able to trigger overtrack even though I met the requirements.

While testing, it seems like setting it to exhaust or lower allows overtrack to trigger when all treasures were completed on mxm.

I have over track difficulty set up to Maximum and I could play over track kannagi on Maximum just fine. Can't play lower than Maximum but that's expected.

Are you sure you're clearing the other songs on MXM? If you run this DB query you can confirm that you cleared them on MXM if the first index's value on param is a 5.

If it is lower than 5 then you got the treasure on a lower difficulty. If it is 0 it means you just played overtrack and the treasures are reset so try running the query before triggering over track
