Not going forward in time

Hi all, I'm having a problem with my word clock not progressing forward in time. Everything works as it should be seconds flashing. I can progress it forward in time manually but over five minutes goes past and it still sits at the same time.

Are you sure that your RTC is functioning?
Maybe test it: https://learn.adafruit.com/ds1307-real-time-clock-breakout-board-kit/understanding-the-code

Hi, I might have got the orientation wrong on my DS1307Z+. There is a small indent on the chip, but can't see it in other peoples build pictures.
