@Keinberger Could you provide an example project? I'd like to investigate their code. The 256 KB limit is quite a lot. I have not seen a project exceeding it so far.

This is an ERC4626 vault implementation. The logic itself is not overly complex (just standard ERC4626), but it already hits right up against the limit, just a couple of bytes below the ceiling.
