NitroSense button not firing events on Acer Nitro V16 #114

Description

@rogerjafur-stack

Hi, I have an Acer Nitro V16 running CachyOS (Arch-based, kernel 7.0.9-1-cachyos). I installed linuwu-sense and the module loads correctly. dmesg shows:

linuwu_sense: Acer Laptop ACPI-WMI Extras
linuwu_sense: Function bitmap for Communication Button: 0x1
input: Acer WMI hotkeys as /devices/virtual/input/input7

However pressing the NitroSense button produces no output in evtest or acpi_listen. The button is listed as KEY_UNKNOWN (code 240) in the Acer WMI hotkeys device but pressing it fires no event. Fan control and thermal profiles work fine. Is the Nitro V16 supported or is there a fix?

I also have a Nitro ANV16S-41 on CachyOS
. I added a DMI entry pointing to quirk_acer_nitro_an16_41 but the laptop still isn't recognized — no thermal_profile sysfs file appears and the NitroSense button fires no evtest events. The dmesg only shows "Acer Laptop ACPI-WMI Extras" without matching my model. Could you add native support for this model?
