Please comment if this worked for you, or didn't work for you, with the following information:

  • Working: NO
  • NAS model: DS3622xs+ (xpenology with Intel Xeon E3-1245v6 (4 core/8 thread 3700GHz CPU, 32GB ECC Ddr3)
  • DSM version: 7.2.1-69057 Update 5
  • SSD brand and model:
no SSD, only 4 x Seagate Exos X16 in SHR with BTRFS

didn't mean to close this issue. Looking to get this working on my main system also: Xpenology: i7-14700K CPU with 64 GB ECC DDR5 UDIMM & 16 x Seagate EXOS X16 16TB. Both systems are using all SATA drives connected through 9308 SAS controllers (in IT mode).

Did you tick the "Enable automatic deduplication" box?

have yet to see the 'Enable automatic deduplication' box!
Am yet to see the "Configure Data Deduplication" selection option appear for the /volume1 comprising the total 4 x 16 TB Seagate Exos X16 Storage Pool 1.
